How do you pray?...When do you
pray?...Why do you pray? CHRISTeens ministry of prayer is about
developing the will and the ability to enter into full communication with
God. God so desires that we enter into dialogue with Him. In
fact, His desire for us to communicate with Him is so intense that He gave
His only Son so that an example could be made, as it can be seen through
Christ's many examples, of when and why prayer is necessary. Jesus
prayed for understanding...and to be understood. Jesus prayed for
purpose. He prayed in thanksgiving, and also in praise for the glory
and honor of God. But sometimes it is difficult to pray when
we are unsure if God actually hears what we are saying. Have faith!
Jesus also taught us
that we can and ought to ask God for the things that we need...that is, the
things that we
really need because, of course, what we ask for makes a difference.
Have faith!...the "peace of
God...surpasses all understanding..."
CHRISTeens ministry of prayer and worship is aims to deepen your relationship with God through Christ and to help you recognize the presence of God's presence through the works of the Holy Spirit. This is so that, through prayer, you might enter more fully into the sacramental life of the Church, especially Eucharist, and foster a growing personal prayer life, as well as, bring together family, friends, and the rest of our faith community in harmony for the praise, glory, and presence of God.

"Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your
gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry
about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with
thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God,
which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in
Christ Jesus."
