Parish Council

Purpose: The essential function of the Parish Council is more than simply being advisors to the pastor, but is to lead the parish as it strives to be faithful to the mission given it by Jesus. To evaluate the progress of the parish, assess needs, identify resources and establish goals and objectives for the parish. Members of the Parish Council are called to become effective parish leaders who have a sense of ministry flowing from and on-going spiritually. The Faith Community elects parish Council members.

The new Stewardship Committee will continue to act as an advisory board to the Pastor concerning the financial needs of the parish including long range financial planning to support the mission of the parish. Additional duties will include connecting the People of God with ministries that utilize their own God-given gifts and talents. Duties also include working with the Office Administrator in monitoring members of the Faith Community not currently involved in any of the Church ministries and developing means by which all will become involved in some type of ministry. Our goal is to increase ministry participation from our current 70% to 100%. The Stewardship Committee will continue to operate by Pastor appointment. Meetings will be held monthly or bi-monthly as needed.
