Altar
Server -- These ministers assist at the Altar during Liturgy.
Boys and girls who have received their first communion are eligible to serve as
Ministers of the Altar. Training provided.
Extraordinary
Minister of Communion -- These ministers assist in distributing
the Eucharist (Communion) under both forms during Liturgy. Training provided.
Extraordinary Minister of Communion to the Sick -- These ministers take
the Eucharist (Communion) to home-bound parishioners, nursing home residents,
and hospital patients. Training provided.
Sacristan
-- These ministers prepare the vessels and all
other items used for Liturgy and ensure that all items are set up for the next
Liturgy or put away. Training provided.
Lectors
--These ministers proclaim
scripture and read the Prayers of the Faithful at Liturgies. Training provided.
Hospitality --These ministers assist in
greeting and seating people before Liturgy, assist in collecting the stewardship
(collection), escort during communion, distribute bulletins, and straighten up
the church after Liturgy. Training provided.
Children's Liturgy of the Word -- Provides an environment for children,
preschool through 1st grade, to hear and understand the Word of God. Training
provided for teacher and aide.
Music -These
ministers enhance the sung prayer of the faith community during the Liturgy.
Committees:
Art and Environment-
The members of this committee assist the Director of Liturgy/Music with plans
for the environment and artwork for the liturgical seasons of the parish. This
committee is a sub-committee of the Worship Committee.
Sacred Liturgy Committee-
Members of this committee
assist the Director of Liturgy/Music with plans for the liturgical seasons and
worship of the parish. They also help evaluate and improve the worship of the
parish.
